I Believe In...
Sunday, that is the day that is designated for washing my hair. The next day designated for washing my hair is Friday. Now, some people think I am absolutely crazy while others understand. (Don't worry I do take showers in between those days.) Hair is something I just don't see an importance in keeping clean everyday. This is why I believe in not washing your hair everyday.
As a college student time is precious. No matter what the time is used for you better use it wisely. This is why I give up washing my hair. My hair on average takes about ten minutes to wash and then twenty minutes to blow dry. I do have long hair and there is rather a lot of it. That is 30 minutes spent tending to my hair. No way! Now you may be wondering, why don't I just cut it?
Well, I have been growing my hair out for quite some time. I am rather attached to it actually. It is a part of me and as we have discovered recently, I look better with long hair. Cutting it crosses my mind all the time, but just like Samson it gives me something that I wouldn't have without it. My hair gives me courage and boldness. When I have short hair I often feel exposed and not attractive. This is why I have to keep my long hair so that until courage is something I possess on my own, I have my hair to possess it for me.
As you are reading this, you may think I am crazy. I won't deny that I am not, but think about it, what makes you have courage? We should all have courage in Christ and our boldness should come from His sacrifice, but that is not always the case. What is the one thing in your life that helps you feel more confident about yourself? What if that thing was gone, then would you turn to Christ for your boldness or find something else?

Thank God for my hair!
