Friday Night

So most people on Friday nights do funn things like go see a movie, go to dinner, just hang out at people's houses. They also like to tag cars, chalk driveways, TP houses...just whatever floats their boat. Well I decided to do something productive tonight. I volunteered to clean 500 Easter eggs for Craig over Spring Break. My mom decided that we would start on them now how hard could it be right?? So I preceded to fill up the bath tub with dishwashing soap and warm water. I then ripped the trash bag open and filled the bath tub with eggs. Little did I know that half of the eggs were still sealed together. I then had to open each egg so that the inside could be cleaned. That was only the beginning of the large job, however, I shortly realized that there was multiple candy wrappers and half chewed gum in the eggs and on them...I found some not opened candy that I'm not gonna lie I was tempted to eat but then realized was a year old. There was also multiple candy wrappers just in the bag. So after sorting through, seperating and washing the eggs we then had to rinse them. This we thought would be an easy feat. We then came to the conclusion this was also going to be difficult. You have to rinse each one to actually get the soap off. So then Chelsee came up with a great idea! I took off my socks and put on my spankies and stood in the bath with the shower nozzle. My mom sprayed the eggs while I mixed them around with my feet. This actually proved to be a fabulous idea. The eggs are now almost clean and just need to be rematched which I'm not looking forward to. lol. I also received some injuries to my hands trying to pry some of the Easter eggs open. So, I guess tomorrow holds a little bit more rinsing and rematching! :) yay! Oh and if you would like to maybe come over and help just hit me up it would be more than appreciated. :)

The Good Old Days!

Idk, if I'm the only teenager that remembers these things, but I miss the good 'ole days! I miss the shows that we used to watch. Those shows were so innocent yet so funny. I miss the music! All the '90's music that now i can't hear enough of... I remember when bell bottom jeans came in style and my first pair I ever had! Does anyone else remember the Furbies, Yak Baks, Bop Its, Nanos and Pagers?! I had all of those, my parents actually owned a pager business. haha. Fun Fact For The Day! :) I miss being able to play outside for hours and not caring if I got dirty! I miss the days on end that I would spend up at church doing anything and everything! I would take my Scooter (another great invention that had short lived fame), and ride around the entire church! I remember playing dodge ball and gotcha EVERY Wednesday and Sunday night after church. Now, I was always one of the last picked but I loved playin! I also wore the tear away pants ALL THE TIME! Those were one of the best inventions EVER! The days also proved to have many fashion well yeah...I remember the Skechers very high tennis shoes that made you like an inch taller and they were usually sparkly. I also had a pair of the black backless and stretchy top shoes. Oh and the lovely brown strap shoes that were about a half an inch tall...they were kinda like Jesus sandals. Those were the days, when the biggest drama was who got picked first for dodge ball. What happened to our innocence and just being satisfied with such simple little things? Well I guess we all have to grow up. :( lol. I just hope I don't ever forget those days and when life was simple!

Life Lessons!

Today, ohh what did I learn??? I learned that you never know what someone else could be going through...a smile or maybe a simple hello can make someones day. Just walking down the halls at school people are great actors and can look as if they have no cares in the world when really their life is literally falling apart around them! We are NOT guaranteed tomorrow so why live like we are? Just think about it!

LOVE, what is it really?!

Teens these days love those three precious words...I LOVE YOU. There are many different ways to text it ex. i luv u, you can use a the sideways v and a 3 to make a heart or just come right out and say I love you. I am in no way saying it is a bad thing to say those 3 words, but we should think about why or our motives behind them. All to often they are said the moment those butterflies are felt in your stomach or when someone does something BIG for you. God loves unconditionally, so if you honestly love someone what they do to you should not affect your love for them in the end! Remember, you can never take back those 3 meaningful words! I do love people and tell the people that I love that thing. Our love should be followed up with our actions. For myself sometimes, I say these words but then do not act the part also. So just next time you say or text those words, think do I really love this person?!

Strength!

As many of you know I was rear ended on December 4, 2009 and have been experiencing lower back pain ever since. At first it was just horrible pain that I honestly couldn't handle. Then, I just ignored it, but after time it became really annoying and I just wanted it to stop. I had 2 X-Rays done, an MRI, and a month and a half of physical therapy. I went back to the orthopedist and they proceed to say that it could take up to 9 months for me to completely heal. Now this is not a self-pity post, I do have a reason for this. At first I was very mad about the length of time it would take, but now God has showed me what I can take from this experience. Everyday, when I get out of bed the pain overtakes me, but then I realize Jesus went through so much more pain for us just so that we can live forever. So every morning I just ask God to give me His Son's strength and that is how I get through the day. We constantly want a quick fix from the pains of life when there is someone that experienced ALL the pains of life. Jesus was a surprise to His parents, rejected by His peers, and questioned by His elders. He was betrayed, mocked, killed, and most of all Jesus' own Father turned His back on His Son. We may think that no one can understand what we are going through but He does! :) So next time when your feeling sorry for yourself, just remember there is someone who understands and wants to listen!

The world today we live in is all about getting ahead, looking better than everyone else, and getting what you want at all costs. So often I'm reminded through high school drama that just because someone is nice to your face doesn't mean they like you. We think that just because the person isn't around they don't know if we are talking bad about them. I will never forget in first grade I had a friend Charles. (not his real name.) The kids would make fun of him but never to his face always behind his back. One day he didn't show up to school so I had my mom, call his house and see what was wrong. It turned out he had heard what everyone was saying about him and would not come out of his room all day cause he did not want to go to school. Now, I was a first grader so this blew my mind that words could affect someone so hard. I hear so much just nonsense about what people say about people but not to their face. You then will see the person and the victim chattin it up in the hallway. All I want to do in that situation is go tell the victim how fake that person is being. I am in no way saying I'm perfect and don't catch myself doing it sometimes. I just want to point out that people do find out and if you won't say it in front of them, then why say it at all?

NO REGRETS!

So often I live in the fear of getting hurt or rejected. Not just like relationally, but in other situations also. With this fear, i do not take chances or live without regrets. I have never regretted doing something i was scared to do or making a big decision. But i have regretted no taking chances and playing it "safe". Me an my friends new motto is "NO REGRETS"! Even if you feeel that it might be embarrassing or something, you don't want to regret not trying. I know this is short but just remember you dont want to regret not doing anything or telling someone how you feel cause you never know how it might turn out...

Lying or Just Being Funny/Sarcasm?

There are many different aspects to me as a person. I love running, playing volleyball, softball, and love to hangout with friends. I love lil kid movies, scared of the dark, and very fearful of heights. My lil brother is one of my best friends, I have named every dog we have ever owned, and love wearing tall socks with shorts and boots! But there is also something else about me that only some people see. I love making stuff up. For Ex. my dad calls and says he is headed home and he asks where my family is. I reply the drove to Tulsa to see my cousins. He questions me and then I proceed to tell him that there dog was kidnapped and the police are investing and they went to help look for the dog. (this story is made up by the way) By now my dad knows not to believe some of the bizarre things I come up with, but before he would honestly consider what I was saying. There is something though I have been wondering...Is this lying? The people closest to me know I'm not serious, but I'm not telling the truth either. When is lying really lying or is everything that comes out of my mouth supposed to be the truth even if I'm kidding? This brings up sarcasm, sarcasm is usually not truthful but a very exaggerated truth...So is that lying? Just somethin to think about! :)

Life Lessons!

I have decided every Monday will be a life lesson i have learned...Today it was to just listen. Yes, I love to talk and sometimes can't keep my mouth shut but today i learned Just Listen. One of my friends is having to take on a whole new life experience and i haven't been there for her. I wanted so badly to turn the attention towards me and tell her about my life, but she needed an ear. So, that's what i gave. I'm not saying that i didn't talk about me some but i focused in and really listened. I love my friends dearly and only want to be the greatest friend i can but its all a process. I also learned that Ben Franklin did not really fall off a cliff that he just went off the deep end with drinking and such. haha. He lost his values after the age of forty and did whatever his heart desired, but literally did not fall off a cliff. lol. Well that's all i hope everyone had a Magnificent Monday! :)
